I can Swim!!!

Check out Ethan swimming at the Biltmore!!!

Computers

I love to play on the computer already. I am so lucky that my mom and dad got me a program called Giggles that is just for me. I love all the games and love to find the Giraffes that hide in some of the programs!

Swim Lessons

Ethan loves to be in the water--loves to JUMP into the water, and pretty much loves anything about the water. So, we put him in swim lessons with his best friend Carter! The pictures really say it all.

Happy Birthday Old Mac Donald

Well, Ethan LOVES animals. I think that most people who know Ethan already know this, but it is such a part of who he is, that it is important to mention. It does not matter if we are talking about zoo animals, (like Zebras, Giraffes, or Elephants), or farm animals (like cows, horses, or chickens), or his own animals, (Midnight, Jake, Frisky, Sarah, Haley, Kevin, Attie, Snoopy, the frogs, and the fish). He just LOVES them all.

Well, he was lucky enough to be invited to a birthday party at a small farm, and Ethan got to feed cows, goats, chickens, bunny's, and pigs. He also got to ride on a horse, and swing on the horse walker. All in all, it was a great party and he had a ton of fun, even when he fell in the mud!!!

Big Boy Bed

So we have a climber!! I think this was to be expected, as Ethan has always loved climbing the stairs, climbing up slides, and pretty much climbing anything we would let him.

However, with climbing comes the new adventure entitled: "lets get out of our crib!" and with this adventure comes the finally: "Mom has a heart attack!" So, to make sure that this was not the case, around Valentine's Day, we moved Ethan to a toddler bed. We converted his crib and he just LOVES it. Now, he asks to go to bed, climbs in by himself, and, assuming you have his entire entourage (Grover, water, and blanket), he is happy to wave good-night, and drift off to sleep!

All grown up

Sometimes we get the urge to dress Ethan in something different than a cute shirt and shorts or pants. This was just one of those days, and we just could not believe how grown up our little boy looked!

Laundry

It always amazes both of us what Ethan likes to do. Recently, he is more than happy to help out around the house--in fact, he demands to help. Any time there is something that needs to be thrown into the trash, he takes it gleefully and runs to the trash can and throws it away. Likewise, he is VERY interested in helping with laundry. He likes to load the washing machine, help transfer to the dryer, start the washer, and then ride in the laundry basket. Just a few pictures for fun here! (And, check out the shirt, it is the SAME one he is wearing in the pictures from Hawaii in December of 2008!---it fits much better now!)

Am I Scottish?

Ethan's friend Danielle came back from a semester in Scotland and brought him back a kilt! At first he was not so sure about it, but then he started to really like wearing it, and did not want to take it off!

Too cute!

Gingerbread House

As it has been in my family for as long as I can remember, my mom has made a gingerbread house for Christmas. This is one of our longest running family traditions....and of course, what to do with it after Christmas?? So, year after year we do the same thing....demolish it! Hammers and bats and mallets and you name it, and we take it down. Anyone who was visiting got to help, and we usually did it on New Years Day. This was Ethan's first year to do this, and he quickly go into it!

A laugh a minute!

Well, we were in the car, on our way back from dinner one night in Utah, and Ethan decided that everything was funny! We had to get some of it on a video......

Skiing in Utah!

After a fun Christmas, we went on an adventure to Utah to take Ethan skiing. While no ski school would accept him (too young!), his Nana got him a super fun sled and we had a blast learning about snow and watching him go down hills in the sled. Ethan loved it, as you can tell from the pictures!
