Good Bye Curls!

In case some of you have not noticed in the pictures, we finally gave Ethan his first haircut! Luckily for us, our good friend Jenn is a hair stylist, so she was nice enough to do the deed for us, as neither one of us wanted to cut off his curls.

He was a good sport, no tears, no real fussing--not too fond of having his head misted with water. This was weird for us, since in the bath he LOVES to have water dumped onto his head!

This is the before. We have yet to get him still enough for the after!

Hey Jenn, what are you doing back there? This is something new.....

Seriously, first you wet my hair, now this? I think I am done now, thanks though!

So, thanks Jenn for the great hair cut, and hope you all like the pictures!

Ethan Loves to Cook

So, there are very few things that Ethan does not like to do. In fact, the only 2 things that come to mind are taking a nap and riding in a shopping cart the correct way. Can't really blame him though, the carts are not soft, and well, who wants to nap when there is so much other FUN stuff going on.

The thing is, in the past two weeks, Ethan has amazed us more than ever with his compassion, and his gentle love. Ethan has been a huge source of comfort for both of us, something that we will never forget. He is quick with hugs and kisses whenever he thinks that either of us (or Snoopy) need one. In the case of Snoopy, he loves to go snuggle with him, bury his head into Snoopy's, and just lay there for a while.

Now, for the NEW things that Ethan LOVES:

Cooking! He loves to play in his pretend kitchen--making "Tea" with the coffee pot and sharing it with Dad. He loves to chug down the tea, throwing back his head and making sipping sounds. But this is not the end--he totally LOVES to cook with mom in the kitchen. He will measure rice, flour, or anything else possible, and sit in high chair and make a total mess! Too cute!!

In addition to cooking, Ethan is loving cleaning up these days--he loves to sweep, mop, swiffer, vacuum, put away toys, and put dishes away.

But, nothing would be complete without his best friend Carter. The two boys grow closer and closer every day it seems. They love to "high-five" each other, get into mischief together, and otherwise have a lot of fun. The last picture is of Olivia, Carter's older sister who just loves Ethan, and clearly, the feelings are mutual!

What a Ham! (Ok, a Kosher Ham that is!)

Thanksgiving....1 year later!

So, as is becoming a tradition for us, Thanksgiving is a family day for our family, we chose not to travel, and we chose to stay home and have a great dinner! The 11 of us all enjoyed the turkey, Ethan LOVED cranberry sauce, and a great time was had by all. Check out Ethan's first and Second thanksgivings!
